Katie T’s Farmhouse Home Fun Fact #12

But Before I jump into this guide on these Christ-centered spring decor ideas, I want to mention a fun fact about myself! This is a new section I’m including on my blog posts so my readers can get to know me on a personal level!

So, for my 12th fun fact, I want to share that I am a salty snack vs. dessert kind of gal!

I LOVE chips… it’s my weakness. But I’m trying a new thing where I can only eat chips if I make it from scratch. Judging by the jalapeno lime chips in my online BJ’s shopping cart waiting to be purchased, I’d say that I’m not very successful in sticking to this new plan. But I haven’t bought them yet, so maybe there’s hope!!

Symbolic Spring Decor Ideas and Elements

One way to incorporate symbolic elements into your Christ-centered farmhouse home for the spring season is by displaying a crucifixion or cross.

Spring is one of the most important times of year for Christians, if not the most important time of year, because of Easter.

And what better way to express our faith than to hang or display crosses throughout the home?

When you think about it, the idea of the crucifixion is FAR from loving. Its creation was to torture and utterly humiliate the prisoners appointed to this type of death.

But God took it, something so tragic and repulsive, and used it as a means of justice. And so by Jesus, (one of the three in the trinity), dying a prisoner’s death and offering himself as the living sacrifice, we can now have eternal life because of this justice served for the sins we commit.

If that’s not unconditional love, then I don’t know what is! So, celebrate Jesus’s love and display it in your home! Let your love show by adding crucifixions to the walls and shelves, and you won’t regret it.

Blessed Palms from Palm Sunday

Another way to incorporate your Christ-centered farmhouse home with meaning during the spring season is by showcasing blessed palms from Palm Sunday.

As we reflect on the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, the blessed palms serve as a powerful reminder of His love and the hope He brings to our lives.

Consider using the blessed palms to create a stunning centerpiece for your dining table. Gather a bundle of palms and weave them with a beautiful ribbon or twine.

Another idea is to incorporate the blessed palms behind photos or a crucifixion hanging on the wall.

DIY Spring Wreath Decor Idea

Another spring decor idea that embraces the spirit of spring into your Christ-centered farmhouse home is a handmade, DIY Spring Wreath.

This simple yet meaningful project will not only add a rustic and festive touch to your décor, but it will also serve as a beautiful reminder of the new beginnings and hope that Easter brings.

Yellow Flowers and Wooden Cross on a Grapevine Wreath

To get started, gather your materials. You’ll need a grapevine wreath base, floral wire, wire cutters, and an assortment of spring-inspired elements such as artificial flowers, Easter eggs, and a small wooden cross.

These materials can be easily found at your local craft store, Amazon, or repurposed from items you already have at home.

Begin by arranging the flowers and other elements on the wreath base, experimenting with different placements until you achieve a design that you love.

Once you’re satisfied with the arrangement, use the floral wire to secure each piece to the grapevine wreath, trimming any excess wire as needed.

As you work, take a moment to reflect on the symbolism behind each element you’re adding. The flowers represent new life and growth, mirroring the resurrection of Jesus.

The wooden cross serves as a constant reminder of the sacrifice and love Christ demonstrated on the cross.

Simply put, during the Last Supper, He consecrated the bread and wine into His living body and blood, so that we may have eternal life. To this day, many Catholics take part in receiving the Eucharist with countless Eucharistic miracles to showcase the extraordinary sign of Jesus’s true presence.
